Neurodiversity support is an area of keen clinical interest for us. We understand busy brains, careful brains, specific brains, thoughtful brains... and we admire them! ADHD and ASD to us, are "complementary cognitions", different ways of thinking and functioning.

Those with divergent brains serve important functions in our community, they are the problem-solvers, creatives, outside-the-box thinkers, risk-takers, motivators, stimulation managers, quality-assurers, fun-seekers and spontaneous types.

Did you know a high percentage of first responders (police, firefighters, paramedics) have ADHD traits? They are the people we rely on in a crisis because they thrive and excel in these intense moments, the moments that overwhelm neurotypical individuals. Many famous inventors/artists/actors also have ASD and ADHD traits because their brains allow for persistence, creativity and unique problem-solving. Neurodiversity is to be nurtured, harnessed and appreciated.

Individual ADHD and ASD Treatment

The program is based on evidenced-based interventions of CBT, ACT and DBT, along with practical skills for managing ADHD brains in everyday life. Developed by Danielle Hopkins, Clinical Psychologist, each session is 1.5 hours, capped at 8 group members. Clients can seek a group Mental Health Care Plan for a rebate for each session ($49.05), in addition to individual plans.
